These are drivers for nvidia based motherboards which contain chipset, ethernet, sound and onboard video

I have the same question Most users that have upgraded PC’s that are not supported by Dell have installed a separate No adi codec sound card that is Windows 7 compatible. We encourage all members to complete their System Specifications which help us to help you So at least use the software indicated in the URL to determine the audio chip and post the details here.
Just a wild thought to add to Fireberd’s post: Search this thread only Search this forum only Display results as threads. I deleted soundmax then I redownloaded it at compaq. I did a fresh install of XP and tried to reinstall SoundMax. Does anyone know a work around here?
I was able to enable verbose setup logging, and the log no adi codec is as follows: To start viewing messages, select the forum that you want to visit no adi codec the selection below. Did not have to reinstall XP.
